Compost
One of the most dependable ways to reuse eggshells is composting them.
After collecting your hanging shells, crush them into small pieces before adding them to the compost pile.
Smaller pieces have more exposed surface area and will weather more readily than whole shells.
Don’t worry if you still see pieces of eggshell in finished compost. They can take a long time to disappear completely.
Once the compost is spread around your garden, those remaining pieces will continue breaking down gradually.
